Oklahoma Department of Human Services

The Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS ) is committed to providing support and prevention services to Oklahomans to help them lead safer, healthier, more independent and productive lives. OKDHS has dedicated significant Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funds toward the work of the OMI to strengthen marriages and improve child well-being. These funds are block grants provided to each state, and marriage is a key component of three of the four goals for that funding.

OKDHS has also expanded TANF services and partnered with other state agencies to train instructors to provide marriage and relationship skills to families and low-income adults receiving TANF across Oklahoma.
